An exciting opportunity has arisen to be part of our existing Early Help Parenting Team.
We are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic Parenting Lead to work within the Early Help service area as part of our transformation to Family Hubs. The Parenting offer is a fundamental source of support to families in need of advice and guidance in implementing effective parenting strategies.
Early Help responds to the emerging needs of children and their families, focusing on building their resilience as well as providing help at a time when evidence indicates that support can have the most impact.
We are dedicated and committed to help empower children, young people, and families to build resilience and thrive. By collaborating with the Supporting Families Teams, Social Care Teams and a wide range of partners we will ensure that families receive the right help at the right time by the right people.
The role
You will be part of a parenting team that offers a graduated approach to parenting support to parents and families. You will deliver and facilitate evidenced based parenting course, and also offer support, advice and guidance to colleagues and other agencies in relation to parenting support.
What's needed?
The successful candidate will have experience/knowledge of:
- Evidence based parenting programs
- Working with children and families
- Working in partnership with agencies and services ensuring a joined-up approach to service delivery for children and families
- Coordination of peer support processes for practitioners working with families.
