Update 3 January 2025
The number of properties without power is starting to reduce with the support of SP Energy Networks.
Please be aware that a cold weather warning has been issued this afternoon. We have offered and delivered blankets and socks to particularly vulnerable residents who have been in touch with our wellbeing helpline. Call 01925 818017 option 4, if you need help or advice. The wellbeing line will also be available 9am-5pm tomorrow, Saturday 4 January 2025.
Wherever possible, people without power should seek to stay with friends or family. We continue to hold emergency accommodation rooms for those who need it too.
In the meantime, we are continuing our work on the ground to support the clean-up operation.

Drinking water supply - United Utilities update
The floods of recent days have not affected the supply of drinking water to homes in Warrington and we are pleased to report that across the North West there have been no supply interruptions as a result of the floods.
The supply interruption in Warrington over the weekend, which has caused no water or poor pressure, is linked to a small number of leaks after problems with a pressure management valve. This is unrelated to the flooding. The repairs have proven more complex than we first thought so we have deployed several of our “water on wheels” tankers to help maintain supplies to as many customers as possible. We hope to have resolved the issue later today and we are sorry for the inconvenience this has caused.
